The public is urged to attend and acquaint themselves with the exten sive work of 4-H in Klamath County. , Mill Beginning 1954 Operations FORT KLAMATH On Tuesday, April 13, Clay Thomas started op erations lor the season at his por table sawmill, located about a mile south of Fort Klamath on Port Creek, at the William Zumbrun ranch properly. A crew of seven men is employed at the mill, with Jim Whitlatch as sawyer. Elmer (butch) Zumbrun, son o! William Zumbrun. has contracted the logging this year and recently purchased a logging truck which he will use to haul logs to the mill and alio to transport the cut lumber to Car-Ad-Co in Klamath Palls. Timber fallers working for Zumbrun are Gene Page and Fred McQuiston. who are now cutting trees on 40 acres of the Zumbrun ranch. .
