Various hammers are useful in bending
and forming Do-It-Yourself Aluminum.
(Plsstic-ttpped hammers ana ruocer or
wood mallets will help prevent marring
or scratching of the metal)
. Wood saws are satisfactory for cutting
sheet, rod, tubing, angle or bar. Gener
ally, the saw with a greater number of
teeth per inch will be most effective. The
. use of paraffin or oil will lessen friction,
and insure a maximum of accuracy.
The conventional wood expansion bit
backed up with wood can be used very
effectively for boring sheet. Auger bits
are also applicable.
