Sudden Fire Kills Eugene Woman EUGENE t A sudden fire trapped and killed Mrs. Abigail Clark. 11, wife of a retired Uni versity of Oregon professor, here Wednesday. Her husband. Dan Clark, who headed the university history de partment until 1051, said flames nnd smuke prevented hm ' from going to her rescue. Firemen managed to bring the fire under control In 15 minutes.
