McNamara started with Weyer haeuser In Tacoma, June 28, 1948, as assistant to the chief, engineer, later transferring to Longvlew. He graduated In 1S40 from the University of Minnesota where he majored In electrical engineering, then spent several years with the General Electric Co., in the. east, prior to joining Weyerhaeuser. .
