She was the wife of Frank: Barnes. Mrs.. Barnes was 82 years old. She was born October 27. 1871. lit Davis Creek, California, one of ton children. With her family, she moved to Lakeview when she was 17. On November 19, 1B90, she was married to James - Franklin Barnes, who survives. Her hus band was a freighter at Willow Ranch In early days, later disposed of his freight business to become engaged in ranching at Crane Creek, where they resided for 30 years. They moved to Lakeview 10 years ago. In addition to her husband, she Is survived by two daughters; Mrs, Mao Lcy'va, Summer Lake, and Mrs. Calila Cogburn, Crane Creek: two sisters, Mrs. Kate Barnes, Glenn, California, and Mrs. Anna Shockey, North Holly, wood. California; one brother, El' 7,lo E. Llnville, Princeton, Cali fornia; four Kiandchildrcn and six great grandchildren. Funeral services were held from the Ouslcy-Ostcrmnn Mortuary. Oregon Barley To Increase Reports from the State Market iuK Offlco indicates that barley and oats will Increase considerably this year, Wheat acreage is due to be cut and Marlon D. Thomas, extension economist at Oregon State College suys this cut will be about 28 per cent. Tills is mainly acreage taken out of wheat under marketing quotas and planted to either grains. He estimates that linrley acreage In Oregon will be Vp 70 per cent and oat acreage up 33 per cent. This follows the national pattern of dimming acreage from bnslc commodity crops under marketing quotas, and planting to other grains and general field crops. Wlnnlngham, 54. for. mer, longtime resident of Klamath Falls, died March 36 at Forest Creek near Jacksonville. Funeral services Will be held from the Conger-Morris Funeral Home Medford, Monday, March 29 at 2:30 p.m. The Rev. Raymond E Bslcomb of the First Methodist Church will officiate assisted by the Medford Masonic Lodge. -Final rites and Interment In Log- town Cemetery, Mr. Wlnnlngham was born near Jacksonville, June 17, 1899, the son of Mark and Nancy Wlnnlngham, Oregon pioneers.. He was mar ried May 20, 1920 to Gertrud Bot tjer, who survives him, , The family moved to Klamath Falls that same year. Three chil dren, Byron, Evelln and Mabel were born here.
