Man Killed In Auto Crash DUNSMUIR Oeorge Walden tewls, 29, died about 1 a.m. Bun day In Yreka Hospital following an automobile accident wnlch took place about 2:45 Saturday morning. Lewis was a musician at a tavern south of Dunsmuir on Highway 89, Judge's, where he had been em ployed for 16 to 18 months. Harold Kitchey, 23, was driving the Lewis car enroute to his home in Weed when the accident occured. The deceased was a . native of Clnckasha, Oklahoma, and (ad been a resident of Dunsmuir for two years. He Is survived by his widow, Cordelia; three daughters, Carolyn, 8, Colleen, 6 and Kathy, 7 months; his parents who had arrived Friday for a visit from their home in Earl lmart, California;, three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Thomas of Castella, Mrs, Goldie Vannler of Mt. Shasta and Mrs. Rena Akins of Tulare; one brother, F. J. Lewis of Castella. The body was taken to Noble's Chapel in Mt. Shasta. Funeral ar rangements will be announced. . Malin Church Society Meets Malta Community Church Ladies Aid society met for the regular March social gathering Thursday. March 18, in the church parlors. Mrs. George Smalley led devo tionals, using an interesting prose reading entitled 'Whispering Hope" and told of the real meaning of the Passover and ' Easter. This was followed by a, piano solo, "Moonlight Sonata" by Beethoven, played by Marie DeMotf. ' In the absence of the scheduled leader, Mrs. Florence Wilson, Mrs. Alice Johnson gave a discourse on "The Church and the Community." Crater Skiing Reported Good Skiing is good at Crater Lake National Park, according to a re port this morning from the ranger station. Twenty - seven skiers came to the park Sunday.
