The wedding, October 2, wat at th home of hit parents in that state. The couple is now living at Pensacola,, where he is stationed with the U. S. Navy. Mrs. Earl Shelp (the former Margaret Copeiand), well known former resident of this area now living at Weaverville, California, visited friends and relatives here last Wednesday and attended the Klamath tribal council meeting held at Klamath Agency before returning home. She was the over sight guest Wednesday at the home of an aunt, Mrs. Harry Bngle, Fort Klamath. Mr. and Mrs. Shelp operate a, motel at Weavervllle. Congratulations ere extended Mr. and Mrs. Harold Redden, Macdoel, California, on the arrival of Law rence Bert, 7 lbs. 2 oz., who was born January 17 at Klamath Val ley Hospital. The Reddens are also parents of two other sons, Harold Jr. and Leslie. . While on a business trip from their winter home at Red Bluff, California, to Klamath Falls last Tuesday, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph C. McAullffe came on to Fort Klam ath, where they stopped at their local home and visited for a short time with friends, Mr. and Mrs, James F. Van Wormer and Doug las, before returning south. - Sharen Hescock was released Friday, January 22, from Klamath Valley Hospital In Kiamatn rails, where ahe underwent an appendec tomy the previous Tuesday, sharen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur B. Hescock, and Is recup erating from the recent surgery. She will be able soon to resume her studies at Chlloquln High School. Also returning home from the same hospital the same day was Donald Sanders Sr., who under went major surgery Saturday, Jan uary 16. He Is also getting along fine now. R. Beth Dixon made a business trip here and to Klamath Falls last week' from San Francisco, California, where he and Mrs. Dixon are spending the winter months, v. . Mr. and Mrs. Roy Kenhart left Monday. They plan to move soon. They ; have . been operating the Crater Lake -Cafe and Tavern since purchasing It Inst summer from Charles J. Brie co. now at Merrill, Wisconsin, and the coming move is made neces sary due to Olson's physical con dition. Definite arrangements in re gard to managing his local proper ty have not as yet been completed. Balin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Otto Balin, Spring Lake District.. The Balins are a pioneer family in the Klamath Basin, and Lt. Balin received his early schooling here. He is a graduate of Henley High School and Oregon State College, where he was affiliated with Delta Upsilon fraternity. He is now in flight training at Hondo Air Force Base, Texas. . The bride-elect is a junior in education at OSC, and a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority; and it was at the chapter house that a previous announcement of the betrothal was made to her sorority sisters. No date has been set for the wedding. ' 1 - THE FORMER Jacqueline Schroeder, daughter of Mrs. Norman. Wimer, Chiloquin and Orville Schroeder, Bonanza, became the bride of Albert Joe Rossi, son of Nick Rpssi, Chiloquin, Monday, December 29, in Reno. The bride wore a rose colored dress with black and amethyst accessories. Making, the trip to Nevada with the bridal couple were Jack Winkle and Newton Moore, both of Chiloquin. .. The, Rossis are now at home in the Chipman Apartments and Jack! is finishing her senior year in high school. Rossi works most of the year in Willow Ranch, but is home for the winter months. . Mrs. Henry Markus entertained her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Harris, at dinner January 10. The occasion was Mrs. Harris' birthday anniversary. Dean Moss Is quite sick with bronchial pneumonia at the home of his grandmother, Mrs. Les Eld er. Les took him to Lakevlew for medical treatment January 13 and he Is somewhat improved. Wishes are extended him for an early recover. , Mr. and Mrs. Dean Harris were business visitors in Lakeview Jan uary 12. Dean received medical treatment for flu and Mrs. Harris had a dental appointment. Dean has been quite sick with flu. Gary Poster went to Portland re cently for dental work. - i , Mrs. E. R. Nelson was hostess to the Episcopal Guild at her home Wednesday afternoon, January 13. Business of the guild was taken care of followed by dessert and coffee and a social hour. . Mr. - and Mrs. Frank Graves visited their daughter and family, the Howard, Nelsons, at Westside January 11. They transacted busi ness in' Lakeview also. ' The comunlty was sad to learn of the death of Pred Eskelln at Fort Rock recently. He was well- known among the Grangers. Heartfelt sympathy is extended Mrs. Eskelln and the family. Mrs. Roy Carlon has been hired to teach Home Economics and bl ology in the Paisley school. Classes started Monday, January 25. Word has been received here that Mr. and Mrs. Georee Ravmer. who cooked at the Summer Lake Lodge last year during the hunting season were both killed in a car accldett recently in California Mr. a.'d Mrs. Frank Graves went to Lakeview Sunday.
