One record was the entry of 43 cars, eight ol which were Irom California,- two better than the week before and the other was the $150 pot race, which was won by Russ Newell current high point man. Klamath drivers made a better showing than they- did the week , before by winning five of the ten events Including two heat races, the consolation race, pot race and the semi-main event. This week's race will feature a novelty race. Four drivers will be entered In the Hot Dog Race. The object will be to go four laps, stop and eat a hot dog and con sume a bottle of pop, get back in the car and go another four laps. The winner will receive some sort of a prize for his achievement. Two drivers who have been en tered In previous weeks will be unable to enter tills weekend and probably the rest of the racing sea son. They are Woody Thompson, of Yreka, who smashed his leg In a recent automobile ..-accident, and Dick Long, a local driver who was injured In an accidennrwork last week.
