Johnson 77, a resident of Elk Creek, was found dead Tuesday afternoon In the wreckage of his automobile which had plunged over a 150-foot em bankment on the Elk Creek road near Happy Camp. . The scene of the accident was some 20 miles from where an auto mobile carrying 11 persons, all In diana and residents of Happy Camp, plunged Into the Klamath River last Saturday, Johnson was alone In his car. The car tracks were noticed by a woman who went for help and directed a Forest Service crew to the scene to recover Johnson's body. He is survived bv a sister. Eliza beth Johnson Howell, of the Klam ath River area. Johnson was a native of Ouadelupe, Calif., and had lived in Siskiyou County 23 years. He was not married.
