Redding was passenger or. the airliner Arild Viking on Its trail Alaska Bank Closed Up ANCHORAGE,- Alaska HI The Union Bank of Anchorage was closed at noon Thursday by the Territorial Banking- Board and two of Its officers later were arrested on seven charges of failing to abide by banking laws. The charges, all misdemeanors, were made against Andrew H ass man, the institution's president, and Rep. Stanley McCutcheon, longtime power in territorial Dem ocratic affairs and a national com mitteeman for his parly. Both posted bond of $3,000 and were released immediately. . The seven charges, returned as Indictments by a federal grand jury, accuse Hassman and McCut cheon of making loans in excess of legal limits, failure to hold meet ings of stockholders and lailure to obey bank board orders. An order posted on the bank's ooors said it would remain closed until further notice. Judge Anthony Dimond of the Third District Federal Court later appointed George Jones. Boy Dragged By Horse SALEM Ml A horse bolted and dragged a 13-year-old boy to death on a farm three mile east of Salem Thursday. The boy was Randel Roma in South, who was riding one borae and leading another with a rope tied around his waist. The horse being led bolted and dragged the youth away. There was no witness to tell what caused' the horse to bolt Neighbors heard the boy scream, but bv the time they got there, be was dead.
