One such is macaroni shells Willi clams. You can keep all its ingredients right on the pantry shelf, it costs only pennies a Mwlns tt'c ... r4 in four mn. . menu and best of all it's fit for -a gourmet! . Like so many excellent Italian dishes, our shells with clams needs ' only a tangy green salad, crip bread and bit of fruit to make fine meal. Naturally you'll want plenty of hot, fragrant coffee, too. Don't forget . . . you'll need enough for main course and dessert! MACARONI SHELLS WITH CLAM SAUCE S og, macaroni shells , lb. butter 1 large clove garlic 1 iroz. can minced clams 1 tablespoon minced parsley Cook macaroni shells in boiling ! salted water until lender. then rinse with hot water. Mean while, melt butter and add half a clove of garlic, minced. Cut re. maining half of garlic in four pieces ana aaa. took over very Perfect Meal In One Dish A perfect casserole Is one that tastes perfectly wonderful and is Just like magis to make. That's what you have when you combine a condensed cream soup, canned fish or meat, and a crunchy in grediate like potato chips. ' One favorite combination on this pattern is condensed cream of mushroom soup, tuna, peas and potato chips. Another delightful ver sion is cream of celery soup, sal mon, green beans and cheese crackers. Below are recipes for a tempting foursome of these cas seroles, i FERFECT TINA CASSEROLE 1 can (Hi cups) condensed cream of mushroom soup '.i cup milk 1 1 7 -ounce can (1 cup) tuna, drained and coarsely flake Vi cups crashed potato chips 1 cup unsalted cooked green - peas, drained Empty soup into a small cas serole: add milk and mix thor oughly. Add tuna. 1 cup potato chips and peas to soup: stir well. Sprinkle top with remaining cup potato chips. Bake in a mod erate oven 35o F.) for 30 min ute. Makes 4 servings. ' Crunchy Chicken Casserole: Fol low proportions and directions for Perfect Tuna Casserole but make it with cream of chicken soup, cubed cooked chicken, corn flakes and unsalted cooked lima beans. Salmon-Celery Casserole: Follow proportions and directions for Per fect Tuna Casserole but make it x-ith cream of celery soup, sal mon, cheese crackers, and unsalt ed cooked green beans (drained) Lobster Mushroom Casserole: follow proportions and directions lor Perfect Tuna Casserole but make If with lobster instead of tuna. I Mrs. Bradshaw also announced the national convention to be held In San Francisco the fourth week ; in April. The Mulson Line will offer a special trip for garden club mem bers to Hawaii aboard the S3 Lur line at that time.
