The Agriculture Department at tributed the continued slump to "largest week's receipt since Ju ly, further severe downturns in wholesale pork prices and an un settled labor situation". Some ma jor pork cuts were off 11.00 to S6.00 a hundred pounds this week. Pork loins sold late a much a 15 cents a pound under OPS ceil ing price. Erratic price movements were registered In Uie cattle section dur ing the week. Two loads of high prime steers sold at $36.75 and $37.00. the latter price being Uie highest here since early June. June. Good and choice steers lost 50 cents to SI. 00. Those grading commercial and below held steady. In Uie sheep section the trade dragged all week. Choice and prime slaughter lambs closed 25 to 50 cents lower. Cull to average good kinds lost 50 cents to $1 00.
