Cactus Crash Fatal to Girl? TUCSON, Art. I A five-year-old girl was apparently killed out right Friday night when a giant Baguaro cactus, 113 feet In length, and estimated to weigh more than Vi tons, crashed down on her. Killed was Cindy Lautner, daugh ter ol Mr. and Mrs. Oernat Lautner of Sweetwater Drive, In the Tucson Mountain. Sheriff deputies said one of the three children playing with Cindy near the 200-year-old cactus had chopped IU with a hand ax. The ax blows, made about four feet Irom the ground, caused the partly rotted cactus to fall, the deputies said. When help arrived, It took six men with Umber to Hit the plant from the crushed body of the little girl. ROULETTE Donald May, a Los Angeles machinist, displays a machine he claims he used to beat roulette at the gambling tables at Las Vegas, Nev. May says the machine, which he built, is used to keep track of which numbers have not been winning. Then, relying on the law of averages, he bets on those numbers.
