K. Phelps, Mrs. H. E. PeltSr., ahd Mrs. Charles W. Gilbert. A huge star, fashioned of Oregon greens, above the' fireplace, a silvered tree tied with magenta crepe paper bows and golden wreaths and swatches added an informal note to this home. Gay Christmas Decorations Draw Gasps Of Admiration Ingenuity and clever use of "things at band" to fashion charm ing Christmas decor was illustrated by Mrs. Hugh O'Connor, Mrs. Scott McKendree. - Mrs.. Fred Karlson. Mrs. Will-Wood and members of their committees who decorated four Klamath Falls-homes for the "Christmas Ibrough the House Tour" December 6. Guests called at the homes of Mrs. J. Frank Ad ams, Mrs. Frederick Ehlers, Mrs. Harry Fredericks and Mrs. Eric Majors between 2 and 6 p.m. Mrs. Hugh O'Connor was general chairman.. Hostesses' at the' Adams home vers Mrs. Charles V. Hugh and Mrs. Faul Dalton. At the truest book were , Mrs. Olson and Mrs. Marvin.. ; Mrs. Matt Flnnlgan, Mrs. E. M. Chilcote greeted guests at the Fred erick Ehlers home and Mrs. Fred Karlson took signatures of visitors. Mrs. O. W. Spiker was at the door of the Harry Fredericks home. The guest book there was presided over by Mrs. E. B. Redmon. Mrs. O'Connor and Mrs. McKen dree presided over the refresh ment table,, stunning with deep green cloth and arrangements of Christmas greens and red tapers at the borne of Mrs. Eric Majors. Guests were served .with spiced hot apple cider, fruit cake and "Springerle" cookies. Mrs. A. B. Epperson and Mrs. John Glubrecht were at the guest book. Snmpter, Ore., a boom-town to gold rush days, burnt to the ground during the boom days and has nev er been rebuilt. Stir In peppermint candy and walnuts, stirring until nuta are coated. Drop by teaspoonfuls-onto waxed paper to harden. Makes about two dozen clusters. Hour Into freeslng tray. When frosen firm, remove from tray to bowl. Break up with fork. Beat with elec. trio or hand beater until fluffy. Put frosen dessert In refrigerator tray. Break up cranberry sauce with a fork and spread sauco on frozen dessert. Carefully spoon dessert over cranberries to pro duce a marbled- effect. Continue freeslng. Preese until firm but mel low. Add bak ing powder, salt, and cinnamon and silt again. To this Hour mix ture add contents of package of coconut quick fudge mix, butter, eggs, and water. Blend thoroughly. Four Into greased baking pan V by 13 Inches. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut Into bars for serving.
