per in the" play room at the Frederick Ehler home on Pacific Terrace gets attention of

star, fashioned of Oregon greens, above the' fireplace, a silvered tree tied with magenta
crepe paper bows and golden wreaths and swatches added an informal note to this home.

Christmas greens and red tapers
at the borne of Mrs. Eric Majors.
Guests were served .with spiced
hot apple cider, fruit cake and
"Springerle" cookies.
Mrs. A. B. Epperson and Mrs.
John Glubrecht were at the guest
book.

called "Chocolate Nut Clusters."
Crush the canes and combine with
walnuts. Then stir into melted choc
olate. The secret of making profes
sional looking candy is to melt the
chocolate over warm water rather
than hot water.
CHOCOLATE Nl'T CLUSTERS
4 ounces semlswect chocolate
, cup crushed peppermint
stick candy
1 cup walnuts
Melt chocolate over warm, not
hot water. Stir In peppermint candy
and walnuts, stirring until nuta are
coated. Drop by teaspoonfuls-onto
waxed paper to harden. Makes
about two dozen clusters.
The sun Is about half a million
times as bright as the full moon.

CRANBKRRY MARBLE

1 package vanillin freeslng mix
' cup whole cranberry sauce

Break up with fork. Beat with elec.
