Dec 20 WV-Stock prices backed down today In the Eace of some mild selling. The market was moderately active with losses running from fractions to around point. Trading volume was at the rate af around 1300.000 shares for the entire day. a little under Monday. The decline uncovered no partic ular selling urge either In Indi vidual Issues or among the major groups. Allied chemical was off nearly 3 'points after adding 3 points yes terday. One strong point was Western Union which made another new high for the year with a gain of nearly point. Barnsdall Oil was slightly ahead on a sale of 10,300 shares at 55.
