Prom that time until she was 70, she was In charge of the children's home and did practical nursing. When arth ritis crippled her. she started paint ing to Drear, the monotony of inactivity. A huge canvas, entitled "Spring" started then, I just now being re touched. She had some instruction from a member of the Chicago Art institute but her talent haa been developed largely by her own effort. On of her prised paintings Is of "Sitting Bull."
