A minimum wage bill waa the first administration labor measure to reach Capital Hill after the new rengreia got to town last January. This kill would hare raised the minimum from 4 cent to 73 - eventually $1, and brought lions of new worker la under wage-hour act. The bouse committee finally ap proved a 75-cent bill with fewer changes in coverage. It would have added about 5.000 000 workers to th approximately 30.000.000 now covered by the law. The senile labor committee has approved a bill raising the minimum to 73 cents, and making a few other changes, but omitting any large- scale Increase In coverage. State Police Arrest Three James Wilson Haven Jr, JT. of Seattle, was brought to the county Jail Saturday from Chemult to serve a 15-dsy vagrancy sentence and await grand Jury action on a charge of passing bsd check. He was arrested by state police and arraigned In Justice court at Gilchrist. Havens is supposed to hare cashed bad checks at Chemult Friday. At Chiloquin, Eugene Beierle, 33-year-old Indian, was arrested on a warrant charging assault and bat tery and lodged In the Chiloquin Jail. He Is accused of beating up hi wife. Era Beierle. The woman was hospitalized. Two game law violations were re ported by state police. John Milton Foster, 28, 203 Victory drive, was cited to Justice court for exceeding the bag limit of trout and for having no emergency brake on his car. He was arrested Saturday night with 17 trout, caught at Annie creek, In his possession.
