Lake Season Opens
Despite May Snow

Mr. and Mra. Joneph C. O'Neill left today for their cabin. Joined by
their riaughlera, Joan mid Marilyn, who are home for the holiday from
the Unlveralty of Oregon. The ONellla were among the flrat to open
for the arafton.
Laat Sunday Dr. Ralph W. Hlenrn and Froncea were at the lake
to on their aummer home, and alw opening on that day were Mr.

Mra. Clarence Humble, with Nancy and Sally, were going up thia
week-end, and the Robert Thompson and their youngster went up
Friday for the week-end.

A CHARMING AFFAIR held at the home of Mrs.
Nelson Reed last Saturday afternoon was the tradi
tional tea given by the Klamath Falls branch of the-.
American Association of University Women in honor
of graduating senior girls of Klamath county high
schools. A pretty Maypole theme was used in decora
, tions at the tea table, and bouquets of spring flowers
added an attractive note about the rooms.
In the receiving line (left) were, from left to right,
Mrs. Warren C. Nogle, Mrs. Aaron Hoffman, Mrs.
Willard Duncan, Mrs. Frank Howard, Mrs. 0. K.
Puckett and Mrs. Nelson Reed.
Irma Wauchope presided at the tea service for part
of the afternoon (above). With her are two young
guests, Marian Mclntyre and June Marie Murphy, both
from Klamath Union high school.
