't'he lurvey waa made to determine principal vitamin contenta of blood, aa well a tiemoiilobin, hematocrit and plaama protein. Children examined were 14, IS and 16 yeart old and had been born III Klamath county or brought here at an early bko and lived here con tlnuounly. It waa hoped to examine around 3 Ml children but only 240 met with thexc qualifications. Nutritional appralnal report from the iiurvcy which waa made In co operation with the U. H. public health service and the local health department, have been received by the department. 'Die reports Included besides the vitamin contents and so forth, heiKht and welKht, blood pressure readhiKs and recommendations as to any deficiency found. These reports are being distri buted to family physicians and the Klamath county health department. GXSXi (Sao There were nine cases referred o the family physician for a further checkup. Remainder of tha cases were referred to the dentist for further dental care. Some of these were for minimal dental care. Reports to the parents of their children's health are belnK distri buted In the schools this week. No comparison of tills commu nity with others In Oregon, which have also been surveyed, have been recorded. No reports have been completed on fluorine contents of drinking water here. Gamble Named Stassen Aide PORTLAND Ore., May 27 MV Harold E. Htassen has named Ted Gamble, youiiR Portland business man and wartime director of U. 8. savings bond sales, as his republican national convention manager. The appointment and acceptance was reported by Robert Elliott, atassen's Oregon manager. In the recent state primary and also a delegate to the OOP convention, Elliott said he had received a telegram from Stassen saying Gam ble had accepted tha chairmanship of the convention drive for the Mln nesotan. Stassen expects to open a head quarters at Philadelphia very short ly, the Oregon aide reported. Elliott must support Oov, Thomas E.
