Revenue stamps on the document indicated a consideration of about $114,000. The new owners have lortnea a Delaware corporation and the new name of the plant will be Klamath Machine and Locomotive Works, Inc. New manager Is Ray Williams, formerly of Salinas. Calif., and William Whelan la assistant man ager. In 1930 the plant, then known as Klamath Iron Works, was pur chased by the Oerlinger family of Dallas from Walter Beane, and through the years since that time It has become a family holding with exceptions of interests owned by Homer Ellis and Eugene Hooker, both of Klamath Falls. Ellis said that he and Hooker planned to remain in Klamath Falls but were no longer connected with the plant which has been entirely taken over by the new owners. The deed conveying the property to the San Francisco group is signed by members of the Gerlinger family as well as Hooker and Ellis. slopped to . Woman Held For Disorderly Colleen Kay Carter. 24. of 407 N. 9th. was booked at the county Jail Wednesday morning on charges of drunk and disorderly conduct after she was brought in from the Weed Ashland junction by Kaler's ambu lance. The ambulance answered a call in dicating a hit-run accident and found the young woman on the ground beside the highway. US Lifts Ban On Shipping WASHINGTON. May 27 i The United States Wednesday partly lifted a virtual ban on exports of industrial goods to Soviet -dominated Eastern Europe by approving a M .890.000 shipment to Finland. Secretary of Commerce Sawyer announced the action but gave no explanation. He said he has approved (ranting licenses for shipment of power gen erator pans, machine tools, steel products and other materials.
