The game was rather tedious, but It kept the bookkeeper hopping. For ; Instance, four Medford pitchers gave up 10 bases on balls, and Bob Blen glno. In last night's four games the totals were 80 scores, 80 hits and 23 errors plus 37 bases on balls which figured directly in the scor ing. Both batters and pitchers ran wildest at Medford. where Klamath Falls defeated the home towners 22 to 11, taking advantage of 18 passes offered by four Medford hurlers. At Willows, the home team cele brated the town's first night game In history to blast Oroville 13 to 2. The Willows batters gathered nine hit and were boosted along the scoring paths by 13 passes. Santa Rosa blanked Pittsburg 9 to 0. Santa Rosa chalked up four runs In the fourth inning although Its batters went hitless. They scored on six consecutive walks and an error. He bats leadoff and somehow man ages to get more than his share of walks. a Play Youngsters Fans have been wondering why Gantenbeln doesn't play himself more, particularly sinct Joe clouted the first ball pitched to him in Gems stadium over the fence. Joe can play second, third or short, and is carried on the roster as player manager. Gantenbeln probably figures, and rightly, that the Phils put him here to develop talent and it is his job to let the youngsters get In all the action they can. They are going up.
