OaU old at a record peak of $1.44 a bushel in spot dealings, both No. X extra heavy mixed and No. 2 extra heavy white bringing that figure. Tho May oat future reached a new seasonal peak although re maining well under the record for any oats contracts of $1.29'4. In the usual thin market, another new all-time peak was recorded by March soybeans at.$4.Sl. The new seasonal peak for May oats was Jl.aa '. Wheat closed IX to 3 cents higher.
