During the wnr yrais the summer homes remained closed during the summer moullis due to shortage of gasoline and the henvy duties each person carried on account of the wnr. Thr-e of the collages thai lire not occupied this year are the lx Ilables' sum mer home, the Ben Dry and Dr. Coffey summer homes. These three homes were some of leie first sum mer homes to be built on the lake and the owners spent the grenter part of the summer In them In the early years here. Now they nrc open If at all only a few days nt a time. The reason Is- Hint Dr. and Mm. Coffey have died as has Leslie Hables. and since the Dry children have grown tin the Ueys do not spend so long a time here.
