Klamath county's share was 183. 10, one of the larger slices of the apportionment Multnomah county received S778.645: Lane $183,308: Ma. lion $158,881: Clackamas $135,223 and Jackson tlOlJM. The Lske county share was Just $13,533. , Although the percentage Increase voted by the legislature was only i per cent. Individual counties will probably get $5 this year tor every $3 received last year. The current apportionment was made from high way fund receipts for the first six months of this year, and the figure Indicated that the counties will share In around $5,000,000 for the entire year. Reason so much more money Is being divided is the Increased use of gasoline. The number of auto mobile registrations In the counties is the base for the apportionment. Highway revenues for the first six months of the year totaled $13.05. 692. of which over calf. $7 96.011 came from gas taxes. Another S3. 997.506 came from motor vehicle registrations, $1,372,198 from carrier tees and $92,964 from fines. Races and novelty contests fol lowed with many awards far the winners of each event. Local firms which contributed to the success of the picnic were Western Auto. Lost River dairy. Jack Henry, Molatore's, Ole's tavern and Commercial Main tenance company. Wholesale print ing supply firms contributing prizes were General Printing Ink company, Ban Francisco; California.
