The railway section enjoyed a brief bulge before mid-day, then turned apathetic. Top (sins running to a point or mora were reduced in the majority of cases at the close and the minus division was widely popu lated. A handful of plvotals stiffened at the last. Transfers of around 800.000 were the smallest since June 30.
