Funds were appropriated by the congress for this purpose in 1943 but due to the war and re strictions on materials no construc tion work was attempted. It is hoped to have the two cottages fin ished by next fall or early winter. The Indian Trader's store at Klamath Agency has been taken over bv W. N. Herrick. formerly of Fort Klamath. Herrick purchased the store from Mr. and Mrs. Don ald Campagna. Herrick operates the post office and also a cafe In con nection with the general store at the Agency. Herrick is a govern ment licensed Indian trader. Mrs. Julia Ann Poole, postmistress at Klamath Agency post office, has resigned her office and expects to be replaced by Mrs. Martha Read. Definite date of change has not yet been announced by the post office department In Washington, D. C. Bly Mr. and Mrs. Chester Stonebreaker and family visited friends and rela tives in Pendleton last week. Jerome remained there, where he has em ployment for the summer. Nancy Tibbits returned from Al bany last Sunday where she was Visiting her father, Lester Tibbits. Harold Crane of Pascenta, Calif., was a business visitor In Bly Wed nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Wisecarver and children went to Myrtle Point for a week's' visit with Mrs. Wlsecarver's mother, Mrs. Florence Miller. Glen Baty is visiting friends and relatives In Swatara, Minn. Rudy Ashbaugh of Myrtle Creek was a business visitor in Bly Thurs day. Mr. and Mrs. Max Dillavon and Shirley, Jackie and Gloria Bell visited friends and relatives in Cascade, Ida., over the 4th . Freida Kirk, sixth grader and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Froldinun Kirk, was the winner of the Meth odist summer camp scholarship con test run during the past three months bv the Women's Society of Christian Service. Scoring was based on attendance at Sunday school, church and Junior choir practice and upon memory work. The contest was open to all the Juniors and ' Intermediates of the Sunday school.
