has been spending three or four
months in South Dakota with her
relatives. ,
Authority has been granted by
the Interior department to build
two frame cottages at the Klamath
Agency. Funds were appropriated
by the congress for this purpose in
1943 but due to the war and re
strictions on materials no construc
tion work was attempted. It is
hoped to have the two cottages fin
ished by next fall or early winter.
The Indian Trader's store at
Klamath Agency has been taken
over bv W. N. Herrick. formerly of
Fort Klamath. Herrick purchased
the store from Mr. and Mrs. Don
ald Campagna. Herrick operates the
post office and also a cafe In con
nection with the general store at
the Agency. Herrick is a govern
ment licensed Indian trader.
Mrs. Julia Ann Poole, postmistress
at Klamath Agency post office, has
resigned her office and expects to
be replaced by Mrs. Martha Read.
Definite date of change has not yet
been announced by the post office
department In Washington, D. C.
