County Budget Hearing Quiet Only small business from a few county oil leers was coming before the county budget committee at the courthouse Uxluy during a public hearing on the proposed 1147-48 budget, and John Heber, county commissioner, said that there prob ably would be a few minor changes In the published budget. This morning the Juvenile office, lax office, library board and coun ty treasurer were In to see the com mittee, all of them asking for a little more operating money. Rcber said that there was very little more money that could be given and still hold the budget within tnc e per cent statutory limitation. Farmhand Hurt In Accident Clyde Peck. 20-year-old World Wor II veteran and employed on the Wlnema Farms south of Tule-loke.- suffered Internal hurcr late Thursday while working In the farm shops. Peck was apparently caught by clamps In a header and was rushed to Tulelake where he was given first aid and later brought to Hillside hospital where he was admitted at 8:30 p. m. Peck, son of Charles Peck of Ma lln. has worked at Wlnema Farms the past three months. Mrs. Ooehrlng said she was driv ing at a slow rate ot speed, not more than 12 to 16 mile per hour, on Portland street and observed several small children on the street and adjacent sidewalk. YMCA Moves To New Headquarters The Klamath county ymca moved to It new headquarter at 112 Spring Friday morning. The YMCA officer, now established In the old Teen-Age club, had been temporarily located at Balslger's.
