Mrs. John Hclby introduced Mrs. Hurt Hawkins, president of the first PTA unit In Klamath Falls. Mrs. Hawkins spoke of her pride in the Klamath County council of PTA which has grown from the first small group, which in 101 9 carried on with out the benefit of today's tele- fihone, modern cars or National 'Brent-Teacher magazine. Haw kins for her early efforts and continued Interest, and on be half ol the Klamath County council presented a past presi dent's pin for the years 1915-16 and a lovely potted plant. Mrs. W. S. Metier, nresident of the council, announced the annual Oregon Congress of PTA will be held April 29 and 30 to May 1, In Portland. She also asked all council and local unit officers wishing pictures for year books or publicity purposes to contact Kenncll-Ellls studio for appointments. The studio is again offering this service to all PTA leaders. Shasta Dads' Night for members of the Shasta PTA Included politick dinner which featured chicken pic and all that goes with it fol lowed by a movie. A large group of parents turned out Jan uary 31, for this enjoyable af fair at Shasta school. The committee which made the evening a success included. Mrs. Jamea Brown, Mrs. Orlund Hardman, Mrs. Ju.neph Rikcr, Mrs Ray Hrainwell, Mm. Earl Sheridan, and Mrs. Stewart Hal-siger. Mills A box social was held at Mills school by the PTA on Friday evening and an enjoyable time was had by all who attended. The auctioneer whs Bill Kunz.
