Senior Circle On Friday, December 20, the Senior circle of the Community Congregational church met for a potluck luncheon at 1 o'clock in the aocial hall. Luncheon wa erved by Mr. Lee Sutton and Mr. Onu Buglcy to 21 adult and three children. Present were the Rev. Godfrey Mutlhewa, Mra. Matthewa, Mr. Frltx Vance. Mra. L. E. Henry, Mm. John Marin, Mr. W. The long table waa centered with an arrangement of brightly colored gla and holly aprayi, together with candle in attrac tive holder. At 2 o'clock Mra. Bevel!, president of the' circle, railed the meeting to order and the Rev. Matthewa led the ting ing of Chrlatma hymn and con ducted the devotional service. The nominating committee ub mltted Ita report and by a unan Imoua vote Mra. Revell wa re elected president, Mra. W. C. Little, vice president, and Mra. William Larson, ecretary-treaa-lircr. At the end of the room waa a beautiful Chrlatma tree with many gifts, which were distrib uted by number to the assembled mcmbera and guests. The next meeting will be on January 17, whon new offlcera will be Installed. The place will bo announced later. 1 Degree Meeting Member of the Degree of Honor met In the KC hall Mon day evening, December 23, for their annuul Christina! party and exchange of gift. There wa no business meet ing, but those present enjoyed a program of music and reading, and ainglng of carola. The day'a gift went to Ronnie Horshber gcr. . The Juveniles of the Degree of illonor hold their party Monday 'afternoon in the KC hnll with a tree and treat for all who at tended. Luncheon Member and guest of the Friendly circle met with Eotelle Smith of 410 Pacific Terrace for a potluck luncheon on Thursday, December 10, followed by a Christmas tree and party, with an exchange of gifts and gifts from tho silent alsters. Fourteen member were present and there were two guests, Helen Eitlng and Alice Dahlcim. Refreshment were then served, featuring a surprise in honor of Mrs. Marshal Cornell, director. Kuch guest received an individual cuke with lighted candla and sung "Hnppy Birth day" to her a they were being aerved. Later, Mrs. Cornell wna presented with a large birthday cake and a gift from the chapter. The next regular meeting will be held on January 14 at the home of Mr. Pntrlcia Falrchild, 044 Eldorado, at 8 o'clock. Hilbert Lur gent of the Midland district, to Richard Takaca, aon of Mr. and Mr. John Takaca of Merrill. Hllea will be solemnized at 12 noon, at the First Presbyterian church. Mr. Louis E. Ada Willita, noble grand, presented each officer and member of the degree staff with a souvenir In the lodge color. The 1048 project of the noble grand was a set of officers' regalia which wa presented by her to the district deputy president, Alma Cofer, who accepted the gift for the lodge. The regalia consists of pink and green cord with the emblem of the office attached. The 1847 officer were installed by Alma Cofer, district deputy preaident, assisted by Elizabeth Ramsby, deputy grand marshal; Esther Mast, deputy grand warden: Jennie Hurn. deputy grand aecretary; ivy Propst, deputy grand trcaaurer; Blanche Barker, deputy grand chaplain; Beatrice Deniaon, deputy grand musician; Martha Baker, dep uty Inside guardian; Alice Law rence, deputy outside guardian. The outgoing president, Mrs. Willard Preston, reported on completed projects for the peat yeer; book were made for children, and stuffed toy and icrapbooks made from Christ mas cards were made and sent to the isolation hospital and the children's farm in Medford. One underprivileged girl was out fitted with clothing and the Mizpah and Altrua clasaes pre sented a large picture to the church parlor, which now hangs above the fireplace.
