Collier, .head of the company. Since August, Collier said, nearly 80 carloads of perishable fooda have passed through the large, plant. Klamath Falls, he explained, is strategically located between the producers and the consumers, on a good shipping route, with two large railroads running through it, and Is a nat ural place for the storage of goods by producers before their sale to the distributors. At the present time, Collier said, the warehouses are filled with D'AnJou pears from Med ford awaiting shipment to over seas destinations. Already be tween 40 and SO carloads of pears have been ordered out of the warehouses for Canadian Dorts and then on to England. Most of the pears arc being shipped to New Brunswick and then trans-shipped on British boats. Once in Britain they will be aold on the open market to British conaumers. During the next week a large number of pears will be shipped out for Egypt and Palestine, Col lier stated, and orders for even more out-of-the-way countries are expected. Daughter Born Mr. and Mrs. William W. Layton of Dorris. Calif., are parents of a daughter born at Siskiyou County General hospital, Yreka, Calif., on Janu ary 6. The first was a sound reel on Igor Gorin, the noted baritone, who at one time appeared in Klamath Falls on the Com m u n 1 1 y Concert series. The second movie featured Ignace Pade rewski, famed pianist, playing Liszt's "Second Mary O'Brien Hungarian Rhapsody." The last was a filming of the Paris Con servatory Orchestra directed by Felix Welngartner as they played Der Freischutz by Von Weber.
