Reames Features Weekend-Affairs During the Bend tournament at Reames Golf and Country club last weekend the women of Reames were hostesses to the Bend visitors with a dinner pnrty Sunday. Dr. Ray W. Olden burg was tournament chairman. In charge of the dinner was Jack Webber. Chairman of the committee arranging details was Mrs. Fied Farley, and Mrs. L. D. Stephens handled floral decorations. Mrs. Merle Swanson took charge 01 cams ana moics. Assisting were Mrs. William Hagclstein. Mrs. Frank Victory, Mrs. Martin Swanson, Mrs. Frank Tarr and Mrs. Jack Web ber. Some 180 guests and mem bers were present. Another of the mid-summer affairs is scheduled for this Sunday. To Ashland Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Kuy kendall of 335 Alameda are leaving soon to make their home in Ashland. Kuykendall is technician and announcer for the Ashland radio station. The Kuykendalls have lived in Klamath Falls for a number of years. Kuykendall taught science classes at the Klamath Union high school before join ing the navy. Accompanying Mr. and Mrs. Kuykendall to Ashland are their two children, Roger and Robert. Wed Recently TULELAKE Word has been received here of the marriage in June of Ida Crumb of Tule lake to Thomas Reid. The cou ple has purchased a home in Marion, Ohio, but plan to visit here nexi fall. Mrs. Reid is the owner of the Lovely Lady beauty shop, which is now being operated by Vicki Burke. Mrs. Reid has been in the east for more than a year. Instal lation of officers and initiation of four new members took place before approximately 15 mem bers. Tables were decorated with spring flowers and blue candles. Ceremony TULELAKE In a ceremony read in Reno. Nev. Monday, July 29, Lura Haynes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Otto D. Haynes of Tulelake, became the bride of Irwin R. Howe of Sacra mento. Accompanying them to Reno were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Howe, brother and sister-in-law of the bridegroom, of Sacra mento. They are residing in Sacra mento. Mrs. Howe was gradu ated in 1943 from Tulelake high school and attended business school in Sacramento. Mr. Howe was recently discharged from service and is in business in the California city. Drill practice will be held Monday evening August 13 at 8 p. m. All members of the team arc asked to be present. Betrothal Mr. and Mrs. John R. Fulfill of 2124 Ogdcn. announce the betrothal of their daughter. Doris Marie Grendahl, to Joe O. Thar p. son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred A. Tharp, also of this city. Both Miss Grendahl and Mr. Tharp attended Klamath Union high school. She is a member of the office staff of the state highway shops. Mr. Tharp was discharged in lale 1945 from the navy after two and a half years of service. No date has been set for the wedding. Clipper Club The Clipper club will hold Its August meeting as a picnic at the Ralph L. Hill summer home at Lake o' the Woods Sunday afternoon, August 11, at one o'clock.
