Kerna was elected chairman of the Salvation Army advisory board for the coming year when the board met recently to elect new offi cers. Martin Swauson, retiring chairman, ha held the position for two year. Hwanson will continue on the board a a regu lar member. Other officer elected were E. M. C'hilcote, vice chairman, Lloyd L. Porter was retained as treasurer, and J. P. Wells was retained as secretary of the group. The adviaory board meets monthly for a business luncheon meeting at the Salvation Army local headquarters.
