has assumed sponsorship oX the
entire Junior Lcgiun baseball
setup in Klamath Falls, and the
only other Junior team in the
county, at Chiloquin, is spon
sored by Chiloquin Merchants
and coached by Hi Hatfield.
Sponsorship of the local
teams Is eitlirely within the
scope of the Ford Motor corn
puny' policy of backing Junior
baseball all over the country. In
Roteburg, coming back Into the
buscball picture after a layoff of
several years, the loop is spon
sored by Lockwood Motor com
pany, end in Richmond, Calif.,
where there Is a, Ford factory,
64 team are bucked.
The setup here includes three
teams for which Bnlsigcr will
furnish practice uniforms' and
uniforms for the district learn.
Twenty boys will bo chosen
from the three teams now oper
ating to form the district tenm
for district end possibly state
competition. The players must
be chosen and registered by
June 30.
Stuart and Eslon Bulslger and
Dale Throckmorton have been
placed on a committee to handle
the sponsorship of the baseball
teams and they will meet with
Lynn Roycroft and tenm coaches
at 8 p. m. tonight in the Bulsigcr
