New Convict Camp Begun On Highway LAKE VIEW, June 10 With California state highway engi neers in charge, work was start ed last week on construction of the convict labor camp near Sugar Loaf mountnin. The camp will house the convicts who will be engaged in reconstructing highway 395 between New Pine Crwk and Alturas. When completed the new road will eliminate the most danger ous stretch of road on the en. tire Three Flags route.
