Secret Soviet-Nazi Pact Disclosed At War Trial NUERNBERG, March 28 VP) Joachim von Ribbentrop's for mer personal secretary testified before the international military tribunal today that a secret Russian-German pact dividing east ern European territories, includ ing Poland, was brought from Moscow by the nazl foreign min ister in August, 1939 before the atart of the war. The witness, Margaret Blank, laid the pact was in a sealed en velope bearing the inscription "German-Russian Secret Agree ment," and that she had seen the original copy. She said she was charged with keeping its exist ence secret. Miss Blank was permitted to Norblad Raps Surplus Block WASHINGTON, March 28 (JP) The Pasco, Wash., army depot of 750 acres is jammed with $50, 000,000 worth of war equipment that war veterans and business men have tried unsuccessfully to buy, Rep. Norblad (R-Ore.) said today. . ' The representative said the equipment, including 1600 new trucks "remains idle because the government red tape effectively blocks its sale." He also claimed the war assets administration representative had tried to block inspection of the depot. Norblad said tractors, carryalls, cranes and bulldozers were there. i "I have today written to the war department and the war assets administration to deter mine just exactly why, with both veterans and small business men badly in need of this property, .steps are not taken to sell it to them," Norblad said. Willow Creek Dam Favored PORTLAND, March 28 IP) The district army engineers of fice has forwarded to Washing ton a . report recommending construction of a concrete dam on Willow creek above Hepp- ner. Ore., for flood control and irrigation. . The engineers office here re ported the dam would have a reservoir ot ouuu acre-ieei cre ated by a barrier 1300 feet long and 100 feet high. The top 1300 acre-feet would be used for flood control and the lower 2100 acre-feet for irrigation. ;t Bridges crossing Willow creek in Heppner would have to be reconstructed with other than federal funds. The defense then summoned Paul Otto Schmidt, Hitler's of ficial interpreter, to testify Schmidt said Hitler and all top nazis were "surprised and greatly depressed" at Britain's declaration in support of Poland at the start of the war.
