He was taken to Klamath Falls Monday. Mrs. A. E. Street and son Francis have returned from Ten Mila in the northern part of the state where they were guests of Mrs. Street's parents. April 7 has been set for the banquet . for . servicemen who have returned" to the Malin com munity, for their ladies and par ents, by the Malin chamber of commerce, Dinner will be served at 5 o'clock in the evening in the high school gymnasium by wives of the chamber directors. Bricco, in the management of his local grocery store and mar ket prior to going to ruamatn Falls. Word has been received here that Platoon Sgt. Samuel E. Em erson, U. S. marine corps, has shipped out aRain on the USS General John Pope on an extend ed two-year enlistment which will expire In July, 1947. Em erson is the son of Mr ..and Mrs. Willard Bcckman, formerly of Fort Klamath and now residing in Klamath Falls, and has seen much active war service with the marine corps, having partici pated in 13 major naval engage ments while on the USS Colo rado. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred B, Castel Jr. spent the weekend here visit ing his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Alfred B. Castel Sr. They will move hero soon to make llioir home. Castel will ho employed by W. Lorens of Chiluquin as butcher. Mrs. Joe Taylor returned this week to Fort Klamath after spending the winter visiting her sister at Kaukaunii, Wis. Mr. and Mrs, Wilford Donnelly and daughter Gwendolyn Jane have returned from Prinoville where they wero called by the Illness of Mrs. Donnelly's mother, whoso condition is some what improved at this timo. Mr. Donnelly has been employed at the Junction lunch for some time. Mrs. Raymond Van Wornter left Monday for Son Jose, Calif., where she will spend two weeks visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Peters. A. L. MacQulston returned this week from California, where he and his family have spent the winter months. His wife, who is now at Bakersfleld, Cnllf., ex pects to join MacQuiston here at the D. and M. ranch at the end of this month. Mrs. Theodore Nicholson and Mrs. William 1. Bell gave a dem onstration at the clubhouse on Thursday afternoon on the sub ject of floor and wall cleaning. Several local women were in attendance at the meeting. Honoring Mrs. Richard C. Nel son of Fort Klamath, Mrs. Earl Jackson and Mrs. Wesley Vohs were co-hostesses on Wednesday afternoon at a stork shower held at the Jackson home.
