r Cruise Of Lodgepole Area Starts . BEND, Ore.. Feb. 19 Making their way with skis and snow (hoes over deep snow that cov ers the region, a party of forest ervice men has started cruising the lodgepole pine areas of the Deschutes national forest pre paratory to advertising the tim- , ber, now much In demand, for kale. The party is headed by Charles H. Overbay, assistant - forester. He is accompanied by Henry Tenseth, ranger of the Fort Rock district, and Hans Mi lius, George Cleveland and Paul Talich of the timber sales divi sion, stationed at Sisters. Not only will the lodgepole pine areas be appraised for us able poles, but also for saw tim ber, it was announced at the headquarters of the Deschutes forest. The cruise is being made under difficult conditions at this time In order that the timber might be advertised for sale be fore spring, and wnen pros pective buyers might get into tne regions to remove it. Storms Halt Work Stcos were taken about two months ago to cruise the lodge pole belts, but the work was halted soon after because of stormy weather. Decision to again start the cruise resulted from the growing demand for the timber, especially poles, for use by the rural electrification administration and private line builders. In recent weeks there have been a number of representa tives of cole buyers in Central Oregon, seeking to contract for all the poles they can get in car load lots. George H. Adler, MD George H. Dinele world - renowned geographer, honored by leading seoEraDhi- cal societies, the power of the atom as disclosed in the atom bomb, is small compared with little Known and seldom used powers of the human brain. He maintains that man, instead of Being limited by an average man power mind, has within him the mind power of a thou sand men or more, as well as me energy power of the uni verse which can be used in his daily affairs. According to him. this sleeo- ing giant of mind-power, when awakened, can make man ca pable of surorisine accomnlish- menis. u is as amazing as the atom bomb is compared with former sources of energy. Many thousands of people throughout the world have already tried his methods. Many report im provement in power of mind, achievement of brilliant busi ness and professional success. Others report improvement in health, increased strength, cour age, poise or energy, or a more magnetic personality. He tells how he found these strange methods in far-off and mysterious Tibet, often called the land of miracles by the few travelers permitted to visit it. Here, he discloses, he learned rare wisdom and long hidden practices, closely guarded for three thousand years by the sages, which enabled many to perform amazing feats. These immense powers, he maintains, are latent in all of us, and methods for using them are now simplified so that they can be used by almost any person with ordinary intelligence. As part of a great movement to make his methods available to more people, a DOOO-word treatise is offered absolutely ree for the time being. It re veals many startling results.
