Those attending are Invited to bring a basket lunch or cov ered dish to the fellowship pot luck dinner, which will be served In the kitchen- of Im manuel Baptist church at 1:30 P' National Chaplain Harry West and State Chaplain Harry Mitchell of the Gideons will speak at tho rally, Stato Presi dent Clccve Hudion, A. D. Short, Nebraska past president; Judge Anson Johnson of Grants Pass, and former Chaplain David James Ferguson will also apeak. Gideons will be present from such points as Forest Grove, Coos Bay, Portland, Medford, Salem and Bend. Hacking, field secretary and stato camp organizer, has spent the past week in town recruiting new members and arranging details of the rally. On Sunday morning, the Christian church at Ninth and Pine will present the work of the Gideons, the organization which nas provided Bibles for multl tudes of hotels throughout the nation. In addition the Gideons supplied millions of New Testa monts to our armed forces. The speaker will be C. E. Hudson of Portland, who is state president oi ine uiaeons. Hudson for some ten years was a member of the church to which the pastor of me local Christian cnurch min istered. Feb. 15 () A vast Pacific northwest wheat shipping program Is expected to get under way "at once," after more than a month's delay caused by a box car-shortage, hipping officials said last night. More than 225,000,000 bush els of grain are scheduled to move from Seattle, Tacoma and Columbia river points, all part of an UNRRA program.
