Mary Robertson, carried a white prayer book and white carna tions and during the impressive candlelighted service was pre sented with a bouquet of carna tions by the installing marstian, Bernice Hartley. Theme of Miss Robertson's term will be "A Rainbow Girl Builds Her Future." She makes her home with Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher who were pres ent tor the installation. They are at home at 338 Mar tin. . i i i Dinner Party Mr. and Mrs. Roy K. LaPrarie entertained at a dinner Friday, February 1, honoring their daughter and son-in-law, Mrand Mrs. Albert H. Stone. Stone was recently discharged from the armed forces. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Birk.'.Mr. and Mrs. Harry Booth. Mr. and Mrs. L. H. Stone, Mrs. Sarah Storm, Veneta Hunter, and tne honor guests, mr. and Mrs. Albert Stone. Newly weds MERRILL Mr. and Mrs. Walter Richard Fotheringham surprised friends here when they returned last week from a wedding trip. The new Mrs. Fotheringham is a former resi dent of Fort Collins, Colorado. She was Ruby Williams. The wedding was an event of January 17 while Mr. Fother ingham was in Colorado on a vacation with relatives. He has been employed in the Merrill community for many years as a carpenter. Mr. and Mrs. Fotheringham are making, their home in the Hood apartments where friends are making them welcome. Program As a special feature of their regular meeting, the members of Girl Scout troop nine of Alta mont junior high school present ed a musical program Monday, January 28. Twelve of the girls played jiano numbers and the rest of :he troop sang. Refreshments were served after the program. Mrs. Hans Frei is the trooD's leader, and Mrs. R. E. Jackson is assistant leader. Scout Week In a joint meeting of the pro gram and public relations com mittee chairmen of the Klamath Falls Girl Scout council, Mon day afternoon, February 4, plans for Girl Scout Week. March 11 to 17, were formulated. The committees were repre sented by Mrs. L. A. Murphy and Mrs. Lowell Kaup. Also attend ing were Hazel Morrison, Flor ence McConahey and Mildred Williams. Winema Temple Winema Temple. Pythian Sis ters, will honor Mildred Har wood, grand chief of Oregon, at a banquet to be held at the Wi nema hotel dining room Friday evening at 6:30 o'clock. The regular meeting of the temple and initiation, will follow the banquet. All members and visiting sisters are cordially invited. Regents Meet Graduate Regents of the Women of the Moose met at the home of Fannie May Thomp son ot 1334 Owens Friday eve ning. Eleven members and one guest, Agnes Vasak, attended. Cards followed the business meeting, and Mabel Ward held high score, Frances Walts sec ond, and Agnes Vasak, low. The hostess served refreshments at the close of the evening. The next meeting will be with Bertha Hewitt of 222S Darrow. Members of the Thursday Con tract club met January 24 with Alice Lawrence of 3506 Ander son for dessert and cards.
