Immanuel Baptist Bible School Will Present Program Immanuel Baptist church Blblo ichool will present a Christmas program at 7 p. m, Sunday. Mrs. L. Benson and Mrs.. Presbyterian Church Fund Progressing , The First Presbyterian church building fund with a goal of $100,000, is progressing very satisfactorily, Fred B. Robinson, chairman of tho drive, reports. Within 10 days from tho start of the program, drlvo teams raised between one quarter and one half of the fund in sub scriptions. Bad weather and ill ness among members is delay ing efforts In the drive now and preventing full reports on prog ress. If Is doubtful, Robinson stat ed, if building will be started during 194(1, due to labor prob lems and muterlul shortages. However, tho Presbyterians are reversing tho usual procedure in such ventures, planning to raise the full subscription be fore work Is started, so that there will bo no mortgage burning ceremonies lor this church. . f ; No Location - No location' has been docided upon for the new structure to dato and It may be that the site of the present building will be used. A beautiful new stained glass window Illustrating tho resur rection of Christ has been set In the Pine street wall of the brick building at 6th and Pine. Tho window is a memoriam for Marjorlo Smith Slscmorc, late daughter of tho former pastor and wife of the First Presbyteri an church, Rev. and Mrs. A. Theodore Smith. Whan In Medtord Stay at HOTEL HOLLAND Thoroughly Modern Joe and Anne Earlsy Proprietors New Church Nearly Ready The new $110,000 Latter Day Saints church building, Home and Martin, is nearing comple tion, with a steeple, copper-covered from top to bottom, stand ing 100 feet from the ground. An auditorium, which will comfortably accommodate 275 persons with an overflow ca pacity of 500, will be part of the construction. There will be a large dance floor and a big stage for church plays, a Boy Scout room and numerous' class rooms. The outside of the building will be of brick. It is expected that services may be held in the new build ing in four months if material is available to complete the job. Finishing materials are being somewhat delayed at present. Jesus Name Calvary To Hold Services . Jesus Name Calvary, 1442 Oregon, will hold special serv ices this Sunday with two guest speakers. The Rev. Hayden Kelso of Springfield and the Rev.
