Howard F. Truant, Box 143, Odcll; PFC Nathan Copperfield, Bonanza; Sgt. Marvin Thompson, Box 14, Beatly; Sgt. Elmer L. Ammel, Box 710, Bly; Cpl. Fran cis D. Rimsey, Keno. PFC John Akerlund, 1019 Mc Klnley; SSgt. Robert H. Wal ters, 3935 AHamont drive; MSgt. Albert L. Longmire, 715 Owens; SSgt. Howard L, Biehn, 2708 Kane; T5 Robert R. Derby, PO Box 82; Cpl. Walter E. Con rady, 2159 Arthur; TSgt, Merle C. Stewart, 729 Walnut; PFC James M. Gavin, 1742 Menlo way, all of Klamath Falls. Sgt. Virgil K. Young, Box 1054, Lakeview. Cpl. Herbert H. Jacobson, Box ' 188, Rt 3, was presented with his honorable discharge at Drew field, Tampa, Fla. He was one of 24,000 men discharged at this field November 30. He served 44 months in the armed forces with the military police Prior to entering tne army, jacoDson was employed as a logger for Ewau na Box company, Klamath Falls. Pvt. Walter P. Crof.t, whose wife, Wanda, lives at 1527 Pleasant, has won the right to wear the boots and wings of the U. S. army paratroops. He has completed four weeks of jump ing at Fort Benning, Ga. Second Lt. Harold B. Uhlig. son of Howard A. UhliB. 1026 Main, is one of the trained tech nicians servicing ana maintain' ine giant transports, at the larg est air transportation terminus in Europe, ATC's Paris airport Lt. - Sigmund H. ' Ellingson, Tacoma, Wash., whose parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. P. Ellingson live at 1425 Pacific Terrace, will re vert to inactive status January o, 1H4U. He served m the AAF for the past three years. Cant. William A. Delzell. for. merly of this city, now of Port land, will receive his discharge April 2, 1946, after five and one half years in the ASF. Klamath basin men dis charged recently from the navy at Bremerton, Wash., include John H. Athey, SC 1c, 1211 California avenue; Marvin H. Wendland, EM 3c; R. B. Zim merman, BM 1c, 1966 Huron: William L. Bishop, AR 2c, 429 N. 9th, all of Klamath Falls. Leland E. Londy, MMM 1c, Box 1307; Donald R. Irwin, GMM 1c, both of Lakeview. . Bike Licenses To Go On Sale New bicycle licenses will go on sale at the office of the municipal judge in the city hall Saturday, December 15, at 9 , a. m. Recreation Director E. E. Hambrick urges all bicycle own ers to secure their licenses at that time. ; City ordinances require that all bicycles operated within the city bear the license number for the current year. The li cense will cover a two-year period and will cost 50 cents. The public is reminded by the recreation department that any bicycle operated after sun down must be equipped with a light and a red reflector on the rear mud-guard or fender, to prevent accidents to the rider. Information required when the license is secured includes frame number, make of bicycle, the type of frame, wheels, rims, eat and brake.
