Former major league baseball stars due for military discharges will begin parading through Camp Beale today. First to start the process of separation from the army will be Cpl. Joe Gordon, ace New York Yankee second baseman. His honorable discharge should be effective by Thursday morn ing, camp officials said. Gordon, a member of the army air forces for the last 18 months, was with the 58th bomber wing of the 20th air force at Tinian, Guam and Iwo Jima. Over 5 Million Cash Customers See Major Ball CHICAGO, Nov. 13 VP) Less than a year ago the major leagues wondered if it would be possible to complete another wartime baseball schedule. They did it.
