Mrs. Huckler is recovering satisfac torily from minor surgery whlcli she recently underwent at the Hillside hospital in Klam ath Falls. Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Blickcn- staff, who have had the Mary Meske ranch on Wood river under lease for the past .several years, have moved to Tulelakc, wnere tncy are vislllnc relatives, They plan to visit other relatives in Los AnKeles before iioinn to Arizona to spend the winter. The Meske ranch hus been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Bobbins of Klamath Falls, who are now resklniE on their property, Yvonne Bllckeiistatf, daughter of Mr, and Mrs. Blickcnstaff, is stayinH in Fort Klamath tenv porarily at the Frank Edwards home while attending grade scnooi in uniiomim. Cpl. James H. Orth left Wed nesday to report to Fort Lewis, Wash., for further orders after enjoying a 10-day furlough hert with his parents, Mr, and Mrs. Henry Orth. Cpl. Orth was a prisoner of the Japanese at Holen, Manchukuo. for nearly four years following the fall of Corrcgidor. He is in excellent health and spirits and stated that it was fine to be Home at last, un Wednesday, Cpl. Orth and his fatner visited at Mccltord with his aunt, Mrs. James Pelton, who is a sister of Henry Orth. Mr. and Mrs. George Denton left last week for Montana, where they will visit relatives for two weeks. Mrs. Elmer- J. Zumbrun came home last week from Klamath Falls, where she had been a pa tient at the Hillside hospital fol lowing a major operation. Fol lowing her release from the hos- Eital, she was with Mrs. Viola cevcr in Klamath Falls for a few days before coming home. Mr. and Mrs. Leon C Bishop and daughter are visiting here at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bishop, for r few days before going on to Pasco, Wasn. Bishop, who was BM 1c in the U. S. navy, was recently given an honorable discharge from the service. Mrs. James Van Wormer and son, Douglas, spent the weekend visiting here at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wimcr, return ing to their home in Klamath Falls Sunday evening. - Charles Williams spent several days this week in Portland on a business trip. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Bollou are spending two weeks visiting- at Coquille and looking after their froperty interests there. Belieu s local lineman for the West Coast Telephone company, and during his vacation his duties are being taken care of by W. C. Oates Jr.. of Chiloquin. Mr, and Mrs. Francis Kirk are now operating the Junction Service station which Mr. and Mrs. Bob Cable have had leased for the past several years. The lunch room adjoining the service station is being remodeled and put in shape . for operation by Mr. and Mrs. Don Campagne, who will manage the restaurant part of the business. The fix tures and equipment of the Can ton cafe fn Chiloquin have been purchased by Mr. and Mrs. Cam pagne and will be installed in the Junction lunch room.
