Ninth and Main Streets. 1 if, I?: hi 1 I New Version Of "Les Miserable" GERVAIS, Oct. 25 (IP) Futh er Martin Doherty, nationally known Catholic priest here, had an experience this week similar to that of the priest In Victor Hugo's "Les Mlserables," In which the priest took Jean Val Jcan In for the night and Jean robbed the priest. Father Doherty, author of "Tho House on Humility Street" and other books, was returning from a speaking engagement when he picked up a hitch-hiking soldier who was on hi way to Fort Lewis. Father Doherty Invited the soldier to spend the night in his home, and the soldier eagerly accepted. The next morning both the soldier and the priest's car were gone. That Is a good sign. For near ly four years our production has been hampered by lack of man power. It will be better for everybody when the situation re turns to normal.
