Both ' teams pounded out doubleheader wins yesterday the circuit leading Beavars blanked Oakland 6-0 and 7-0 for a 5 and 3 series edge while the Ralniers trimmed Los Angeles 4-1, and 4-0 for a seven out ot elgnt games margin. Seattle's heavy edge over the Angels pared Portland's league lead to three and one-half games, about the Irreducible minimum in this year's race bo twen the two northwest clubs. Stars Get Hot Tall-end Hollywood also won botn of its Sunday games, beat ing San Diego 6-3 and 10-5 while San Francisco's slimline SpbIa split with Sacramento, 7-0 and 1-8. Both Hollywood and Sac ramento finished the week with e-2 series margins. Portland put its first game in the cooler with a four run out burst in the first inning with a triple, two doubles, a single and a hit-by-pttchor. Single tallies were added in the sixth and ninth frames while submariner Ad Llska was holding the Oaks to six scattered safeties. Pitcher s Duel Seattle's 4-1 win in the opener was marked by a pitcher's duel between two 18-year-olds, Alex Pallca and Ken Hicks.
