About one-fourth of the total 1044 Oregon crop of covor crop seeds was purchased by the AAA from Oregon growers and dealers. Shipped to southern states, the seed Is distributed by AAA to furmvrs through a con servation materials program similar to thut In effect here for Urn and phosphate. Cost of the seed Is deducted from the furmer's AAA practice payment, und ho in turn used the seed to grow cover crops to check ero sion and restore fortuity to de pleted soils.
