This was followed by a alt down track meet, consisting of a "run-for-your-monoy" and a relay race with peanuts. Corp, Martin Axtellan of the U. S. marlno corps entertained with accordion selections, part of these providing a guessing con test. Bonanza members of the club were, in charge of the picnic, with Joanno Glvan as chair man, assisted by Gwendolyn Miller of this city. Mahoney family. For the lirst lime in two ana one-half years, all of the Ma honey sisters were home. Mrs. Paul Bernadon has been visiting at the home of her parents since May 2, and prior to that time, she lived in Brooklyn, N. Y. where her husband was stationed with the navy. He is now on duty somewhere in the Pacific. Lt. and Mrs. L. L. McDanlcls and baby daughter, Marilynne, were here from Vancouver, Wash, on a combined business and pleasure trip, Lt. McDan iels is receiving treatment at the Barnes General hospital in the northern city. Mr. and Mrs. Don Druliner and children, Patricia and Vir ginia Rae, were present for the family reunion, as well as Mary Mahoney, Louise Ann, nooert, Dan and Jim.. Madeline Mahoney, featured sineer with Ted Flo Rito's or chestra, spent her vacation at the home of her parents here, This was her first visit since signing with the band last Feb ruary. One of the Mahoney sons. JoseDh A. Mahoney Jr.. was un able to attend the picnic. He is stationed at the army air field in Amarillo, Tex., and his wife and baby daughter lett during the past week to Join him there. Mrs. M. E. Chase, maternal grandmother of the Mahoney children, assisted at the reunion. Others present at this time were Mr. and Mrs. William Owsley, Mr. and Mrs. Tex Evatt and sons, Jack. Rov and Jim. Mr. and Mrs. Don Kice, lona James, xoianaa Stole, F. B. Chase and Joe Ross. A delightful potluck luncheon was served at 2:30. and the after noon s festivities included games, pictures and singing. On the following day, Mrs. Eernadon and Mrs. Chase left for alifornia where they will visit other relatives, Mr. ana Mrs. Jack Mahoney and Mrs. Emily Paulson. Collier home at 1401 Pacific Terrace was the scene of a double birthday cele bration when Dorothy Collier and Connie Hunt celebrated their 16th birthdays. ' The affair was given on Thursday, June 14, and guests were bidden to the dinner Dartv at 6 o'clock. The table was centered with del phinium blossoms floating in a bowl with heart shaped candles. Following the dinner, the guests enjoyed a theatre party. On hand to help the two girls celebrate were Mary O Brien, Jody Bennet, Ruth Landry, Jean Hilton, Yvette Sweet and Norma Jo Smith. Miller was hostess at an informal - bridge party at her home, 432 N. 9th street- at 8 o'clock. The affair was given in honor of Mrs. Har mon and Mrs. Oakes, - and the Miller home was decorated with roses and summer blooms. Mrs. Lloyd Young received the guest award. Several other parties have been arranged for the near fu ture.
