The weatherman cooperated
with the Business and Profes
sional Women's club Monday by
producing a perfect, worm sum
mor evening for a picnic at
Mooro park where about 38
membors and guests gathered
for a sack supper.
This was followed by a alt
down track meet, consisting of
a "run-for-your-monoy" and a
relay race with peanuts. Corp,

accordion selections, part of
these providing a guessing con
test. Bonanza members of the club
were, in charge of the picnic,
with Joanno Glvan as chair
man, assisted by Gwendolyn
Miller of this city. This was
the final meeting before the
start of the new fiscal year in

Sgt. Williams was.-released
from tho air corps with 114
points to his credit. Prior to his
discharge, ho served In , the
armed forces for i4 months, 36
of which wero spent overseas.

ily reunion were held at Moore
park on June 10, and those pres
ent for the occasion included
relatives and friends of the
Joseph A. Mahoney family.
For the lirst lime in two ana
one-half years, all of the Ma
honey sisters were home. Mrs.
Paul Bernadon has been visiting
at the home of her parents since
May 2, and prior to that time,
she lived in Brooklyn, N. Y.
where her husband was stationed
with the navy. He is now on
duty somewhere in the Pacific.

and baby daughter, Marilynne,
were here from Vancouver,
Wash, on a combined business
and pleasure trip, Lt. McDan
iels is receiving treatment at the
Barnes General hospital in the
northern city.

On Tuesday evening of this
week, Mrs. W. D. Miller was
hostess at an informal - bridge
party at her home, 432 N. 9th
street- at 8 o'clock. The affair
was given in honor of Mrs. Har
mon and Mrs. Oakes, - and the
Miller home was decorated with
roses and summer blooms. Mrs.
Lloyd Young received the guest
award.
Several other parties have
been arranged for the near fu
ture. On Tuesday: afternoon at
1:15, several members of the So
journers will be hostesses at a
luncheon in the Pelican party
room for - Mrs. Harmon, Mrs,
Oakes and Mrs. George O. Van
Orden, who is to leave in July.
On Wednesday evening, Mrs.
Carl H. Mason will be hostess
at a party in honor of Mrs. Harmon,-and;
on Saturday, Shirley

young daughter, Pamela, are ex
